The Obesity Medicine Association (the OMA) is the largest organization of physicians and other healthcare providers working every day to improve the lives of people affected by the disease of obesity.  OMA members are considered to be the clinical experts in Obesity Medicine.  It’s an amazing group of people that are deeply committed to treating this devastating disease.  Becoming a fellow of the OMA (or FOMA) is one of the highest honors bestowed upon members who demonstrate dedication and commitment to the clinical treatment of obesity and obesity-related diseases.  I was awarded my fellowship in Obesity Medicine in 2021, making me the 69th healthcare professional to ever achieve this recognition.  I’ve never been more proud to add more letters behind my name.  There aren’t many of us on this continent that are board-certified by the American Board of Obesity Medicine and the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology as well as fellows of the Obesity Medicine Association and the American Congress of Obstetricians & Gynecologists.
